Key Responsibilities:

• Data Modeling and Design:
• Design and develop efficient data marts using PostgreSQL on Amazon RDS & Redshift, adhering to best practices in data warehousing and dimensional modeling.
• Translate business requirements into effective data models and structures.
• Create and maintain metadata documentation for data marts.
• Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL):
• Develop and maintain efficient ETL processes using PostgreSQL, PL/SQL, or other relevant tools.
• Extract data from various sources (databases, flat files, APIs) and transform it into a suitable format for analysis.
• Load data into data marts efficiently and reliably.
• Data Quality Assurance:
• Implement data quality checks and validation rules to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Monitor data quality and identify and resolve data issues.
• Performance Tuning:
• Optimize data mart performance through indexing, partitioning, and other techniques.
• Monitor data mart performance and identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Collaborate effectively with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Communicate technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL and SQL
• Knowledge of AWS Glue and related ETL tools in AWS
• Familiarity with Amazon RDS & Redshift
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and methodologies (e.g., Kimball, Inmon)
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools
• Experience with data modeling and database design
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of the health insurance domain (preferred)

Note: This position requires working full-time from our Chennai office with alternate Saturday half day working (2nd, 4th & 5th).
