HIRING permanent AWS DevOps Engineer for project support for a multinational IT staffing company. Must be willing to work business hours for London timezone.

This position is a client facing position where you will have to handle multiple different clients with completely different AWS accounts and project requirements. The needs of each individual client will be different at any given time - could be pipeline work, Kubernetes, migrating applications to AWS, writing Lambda functions. There will be a significant amount of context switching between different environments in this role.

The idea candidate to take on this kind of work would be someone with a developer background, strong core Linux experience, and very comfortable with AWS, scripting, monitoring, containers, and infrastructure as code.

Since the tools can vary slightly from client to client (Puppet instead of Ansible, or GKE instead of AWS EKS), the candidate needs to be proactive in ramping up to the key differences and work with the consultants to get the tasks done.

If the candidate is missing any of the specific requirements below such as Istio or DataDog, they may still be a good fit for the role so long as they have the capacity to learn and utilize these tools in production environments.

Technical Requirements:

High level proficiency in the following - 

- Docker

- Kubernetes, Helm, Istio, Controllers

- Ansible

- Terraform

- Monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, DataDog)

- Excellent Python skills (scripting, boto3 library, AWS Lambda Functions)

- Excellent all round knowledge on AWS

- Linux, Bash

- Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM

Non-Technical Skills:

- Excellent English written and oral communication skills
