Title : AWS Cloud Solution Architect

Location : Plano, TX

Duration : 1 year contract

Rate: $75 to $95/hr on W2

Communication:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in solution architecture, focusing on cloud-native technologies and modern technology stacks.

Technical Expertise:

• Proven experience designing and architecting enterprise-scale transactional systems using microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Strong understanding of InfoSec and DevSecOps principles, especially with AWS technologies.
• Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, EKS, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
• Expertise in containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
• Experience with microservices architecture, serverless computing, and DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git, Harness, Artifactory, Terraform).
• Knowledge of networking concepts like VPC, VPN, and load balancing.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (DynaTrace, AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).

Security Knowledge (Must Haves):

• In-depth understanding of security principles, including identity and access management, encryption, and secure coding practices. Ability to translate these into secure solution design.

Problem-Solving Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of designing and implementing complex technical solutions.

Independent Worker & Team Player:

• Ability to work independently on complex projects, as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred:

• Hands-on experience coding in Java, JavaScript, Python, or C# (Java preferred).
• Expertise in microservices architecture, container technologies, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Experience with automated testing throughout the software lifecycle.
• Experience implementing reusable software components and libraries for enterprise-wide use.
• Strong troubleshooting and optimization skills for high availability and performance.

Certification:

• Relevant certifications, such as AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Kubernetes, etc., are highly desirable.

Experience with Enterprise Architecture:

• Experience working with enterprise architecture in domain-aligned environments, collaborating with domain leadership, and presenting in architecture governance forums.
