Must Have Skills

• Implement and manage automated backup solutions for AWS services like EC2, RDS, S3, and EBS.
• Ensure data retention policies are enforced across cloud services.
• Manage patching schedules for AWS based systems and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Automate OS level patching using tools like AWS Systems Manager.
• Ensure the latest security patches are applied to all instances and resources.
• Set up alerts and thresholds for infrastructure and application performance metrics.
• Analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability.
• Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and root cause analysis on issues related to the operating system (Linux/Windows) running on AWS EC2 instances.
• Manage and maintain OS-level configurations and services such as DNS, SSH, and firewalls.
• Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks at the OS level, including CPU, memory, and disk issues.
• Manage IAM roles, policies, and permissions to enforce the principle of least privilege.
• Perform regular audits of IAM roles, policies, and users for security compliance.
• Manage Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), subnets, security groups, and route tables.
• Document all infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Generate and present regular reports on system performance, security compliance, and cost efficiency.
• Use AWS Config and other tools to ensure resource compliance with tagging policies.
  
  

Nice To Have Skills

• Configure and manage AWS networking services such as Direct Connect, and Transit Gateway.
• Implement and manage AWS security services such as AWS WAF, AWS Shield, and AWS Security Hub.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
• Experience with multicloud environments (Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, API Gateway).
• Experience with containerization technologies (ECS, EKS, Docker).
• Continuously monitor and optimize AWS resource usage and costs.
  
  

Key Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in AWS Cloud Infrastructure Management.
• Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional) or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
