Northwest Partners is looking to hire an experienced Technical Architect to work on a project with one of our premier clients in the Property & Casualty Insurance industry. This temp-to-hire position will be based in Jacksonville, FL, with a hybrid work schedule requiring weekly office attendance. The ideal candidate will provide architecture leadership across multiple development teams, working closely with both IT and business teams to define roadmaps, solution architecture, detailed design, and hands-on development.

What YOU will do:

• Collaborate with senior IT and business managers to design systems aligned with the client’s strategic roadmap.
• Provide architecture leadership for internal and external applications supporting P&C Insurance.
• Work with development teams to design, support, and occasionally contribute to hands-on development.
• Participate in vendor relationship management, product evaluations, and strategic platform planning.
• Ensure alignment with overall DevOps and Cloud strategy.
• Lead teams through the initial stages of development and provide guidance through execution.
• Conduct proof-of-concept evaluations to assess software, platforms, and new technologies.

What YOU will bring us:

• 8+ years of experience in a technical discipline with increasing responsibility.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, and AWS services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and hybrid cloud environments (On-Prem, Cloud, SaaS).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins (preferred).
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying cloud-native solutions (e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EKS, cloud data platforms) is a plus.
• Familiarity with NoSQL, messaging platforms, Atlassian tools, cloud migration, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience integrating systems with third-party APIs and external platforms.
• Strong application performance analysis and tuning skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
