This role will suit an experienced AWS Solution Architect who wants to take on ownership of the design, development, and implementation of a range of AWS solutions, coupled with the confidence and ability to lead both technical and development teams.

As an Alscient AWS Architect you will be responsible for designing, building, deploying and maintaining business applications, services and critical infrastructure inside the AWS Cloud as well as providing support, assistance and direction to others.

You will have excellent stakeholder management skills and be confident in designing native cloud application architectures for AWS, reviewing and optimizing AWS applications and services as well as leading on all types of AWS projects and solutions, providing technical expertise, team guidance and mentorship as well as effective budgetary control.

We want our AWS Architects to be ‘hands-on’ when necessary and be able to provide overall leadership when required, comfortable leading on customer engagements, acting as the main interface between the customer and team as well as the ability to deliver excellent communication within the team regarding management of tasks, risks, and issues.

You will have:

• Minimum of 5 years engineering experience with 2 years of that focused on Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud architecture, operations, DevOps, or administration.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with cloud automation and scripting.
• Minimum 2 years of experience creating deployment scripts (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
• Strong hands-on experience of programming in at least two of the following: Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar object-oriented language
• Minimum 1 years of experience with containers.
• In depth, understanding of Cloud Migration methodologies and best practices.
• At least 1 AWS Cloud Certification including either Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Engineer Professional.
• The ability to ensure best practice is delivered in code quality, security, and performance.
• Effective people and mentoring skills with the confidence to lead a team of skilled developers/consultants.
• Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written.
• An evidenced track record of delivering large-scale Salesforce architectural projects.
• Excellent organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills with a passion for complex problem solving.
• A resourceful and professional curiosity, with a drive to find appropriate solutions.
• Experience and knowledge of Salesforce as well as Jira and Confluence tools would be advantageous.
