We are seeking a full-time Aviation Marketing Associate 2 in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for leveraging a thorough and in-depth knowledge of Aviation products and marketing needs to primarily lead a wide spectrum of aspects for creation, facilitation and execution of marketing requirements for Garmin’s Aviation business segment.
Essential Functions
Lead delivering creative and high-impact content for print, video, web, email and social marketing as well as for press releases, marketing memos in conjunction to product launches, product updates and for partner requirements
Independently execute aviation marketing strategies in collaboration with Aviation Marketing Manager
Develop creative vision for technical marketing deliverables
Proficient management and/or utilization of aviation digital assets in Garmin Digital Asset Management system
Independently develops best approach to producing marketing assets
Coordinate supporting activities required to produce assets within schedule requirements
Ensure accuracy of assets via own expertise or in collaboration with technical expert
Provide advanced insights in development of Garmin Aviation’s marketing and communications strategy
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Engineering teams, Garmin business segment leaders as well as development of strong external partner relationships for marketing assets and marketing activities
Conduct internal and external marketing presentations
Assist the Marketing and Sales staff for all product related needs
Attend industry tradeshows, meetings, and other events as required
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or another related field AND minimum of 3 years sales or marketing experience
Must possess current pilot certification or more than 2 years of demonstrated and applicable experience in the aviation industry
Demonstrated proficiency with graphical editing using Photoshop, In-Design or equivalent
Must be detail-oriented, have the ability to work proactively/effectively with minimal supervision, and demonstrated ability to prioritize/multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment
Superior organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and quality
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency with presentations to large groups
Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
Driven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult problems
Must demonstrate analytical skills to critically evaluate information gathered
Must be schedule orientated with the ability to work with others to meet deadlines
Must demonstrate a proven track record in providing excellent customer service
Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential company matters
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
Desired Qualifications
Advanced experience working in the aviation marketplace
Extensive Garmin Aviation product knowledge including a strong understanding of the avionics industry, product technologies and their value to the customer
General knowledge of aircraft systems
Active pilot with Instrument rating
Advanced knowledge and experience in creating and/or editing videos
Proficiency with HTML Web interface
