Job Description
As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with sales, design, and engineering departments to engage in client discovery sessions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Participating in project design meetings with clients, conducting site surveys, and creating detailed assessment reports.
- Analyzing user needs and requirements to ensure design feasibility within time and cost constraints.
- Developing comprehensive AV and Control design packages, including concept block diagrams, system CAD drawings, design narratives, programming specifications, performance specifications, and budget estimates for each phase of the projects (Concept, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents).
- Communicating and coordinating technical design solutions with clients, installation teams, and creative teams.
- Providing technical oversight, network implementation, system configuration, red lines, as-built drawings, commissioning procedures, and addressing design questions during system integration and commissioning.
- Assisting programmers with technical direction in developing user interfaces and control programs.
- Supporting account executives in preparing consultant-specified bids and submittals.

Profil

- Advanced knowledge of network design methods applied to AV systems, including routing, VLANs, QoS, IGMP, and PTP.
- Proficiency in control system architecture, programming, implementation, and testing for platforms such as Medialon, Q-SYS, Node-Red, and Crestron.
- Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Lua, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Experience with audio and video processing systems, including Q-SYS, Barco E2, and Analog Way Aquilon.
- Familiarity with media servers (e.g., Pixera, 7th Sense, Disguise, Green Hippo, Watchout) and generative engines (e.g., Touch Designer, Notch, Unreal) is preferred.
- Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems is preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD or Vectorworks.
- Familiarity with MS Visio or OmniGraffle is desired.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Ability to write scope of work, design narratives, and other technical documents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to establish professional relationships.
- Excellent organizational, work management, and time management skills.
- Self-driven with a proactive approach.

Training / Education
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Engineering program or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 5-10 years of experience in the Audio-Visual commercial solution/services industry preferred. Otherwise, will depend on training, education, and personal achievements.
- A Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or CTS-I or CTS-D certification is a plus.
- Languages: English mandatory
