Role Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer with 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing. The ideal candidate should have expertise in test automation frameworks, defect tracking tools, and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively in a Sprint Team environment or independently as needed.
• Implement and participate in test automation initiatives using industry best practices.
• Utilize BDD, TDD, and Gherkin spec methodologies in testing.
• Perform API and UI test automation, ensuring robust defect management.
• Develop and execute SQL scripts for data validation.
• Work with CI/CD tools like Jenkins to automate build processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure SDLC best practices are followed.
• Conduct performance testing, regression testing, and exploratory testing as required.
  
  

Required Skills & Expertise

Testing & Automation:

• Experience with JIRA, JavaScript, Groovy for defect tracking.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as:
• Junit, Cucumber, Selenium, TestNG, FlexUnit, LoadRunner, SoapUI
  

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of RESTful services, JSON, and XML formats.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries for Oracle, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, Putty, WinSCP.
  
  

Methodologies & Process Knowledge

• Strong understanding of Agile (Scrum/XP) and SDLC processes.
• Knowledge of test planning, automation strategies, and defect tracking.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BDD/TDD methodologies.
• Familiarity with Agile development frameworks.
