The Digital team focuses on evolving and implementing UKTV’s VoD and digital strategy. We are dedicated to developing a world-class BVOD service and complementary digital products to grow our audience and contribute to UKTV’s long-term profitability. In 2024, we experienced rapid growth in our VoD views, reaching 460 million views, averaging 1.3 billion viewing minutes per month, and almost 6 million registered users.

Purpose of the Role

As the Lead Software Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical and strategic aspects of quality assurance for the U VoD app across web, mobile, and connected TVs. Leading a team of 4 QA Engineers, you will focus on test automation, implementing best practices, and refining team processes while championing Agile principles

Experience

• Leading and inspiring a QA team with a focus on growth and development
• Implementing new strategies to meet evolving capability requirements within QA and engineering
• Designing, building, and maintaining automated testing frameworks and processes
• Extensive experience with automation tools, including Suites
• Advocating for continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) and ensuring automated tests are integrated into the pipeline
• Promoting and embedding a quality-first mindset
• Coaching teams to adopt BDD/TDD
• Manual testing, debugging, and troubleshooting
• Creating API testing, security testing, performance testing, and CI/CD pipelines
• Testing across multiple platforms, including web, connected TVs, and mobile
