Role

The Automation Maintenance Technician at Card Kingdom Inc. is an onsite support role, responsible for repair, fabrication and maintenance of automated equipment used throughout the business. The goal of the role is to minimize downtime, reduce human intervention, increase throughput, and maximize efficiency. We are looking for a passionate problem solver, an avid learner with a great attitude who can operate with a high level of autonomy and responsibility. This position is in person and located in Monroe, WA and reports to the Automation department head.

Responsibilities

  • Manage help requests in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware and/or software issues.
  • Support new equipment fabrication/installation, line extensions, validation activities, process improvements and equipment/software set-up.
  • Support development and execution of preventative maintenance programs.
  • Partner with the machine operations team to develop and execute machine operator level maintenance training plans.
  • Investigate user problems and identify their source; determine possible solutions; test and implement solutions.
  • Evaluate and monitor the performance of machine operator level maintenance and provide hands on training and support as needed.
  • Suggest/Initiate/Support process improvement efforts within the automation department.
  • Establish and maintain a safety-first culture by promoting and demonstrating safe work practices.
  • May be asked to support IT help desk needs when no Automation work need and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in technical training
  • Strong aptitude and familiarity with electro-mechanical systems and components.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical personnel.
  • 1+ years of hands-on Maintenance experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in robotics, PLC Controls/automated systems controls.
  • 1+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Experience with fabrication and hands on work
  • Once proficient, the role is Sunday – Thursday afternoons and evenings.
  • Will be required to carry a cell phone.
  • Motivated and self-reliant, the role will be somewhat unsupervised by the department head.

Physical Requirements

  • The capacity to stand and work on hard surfaces for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day.
  • Occasional squatting, kneeling, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting at waist may be required.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Job Type / Pay Rate

  • Full Time / Non-Exempt (Hourly)
  • Range from $33.65 - $37.01 an hour ($70,000 - $77,000 annually) depending on qualifications and experience
