We are currently seeking applications to fill the following job opening at Asahi Kasei Bioprocess where we sell Planova virus removal filters and develops and manufactures related bioprocess equipment. Company: Asahi Kasei Bioprocess America, Inc. Job Description: Assist with automation activities including system configuration, hardware configuration and testing, debugging, punchlist resolution, and documentation for custom pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical equipment performing chromatography, dilution, filtration, and synthesis and other downstream processes. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: * Assist automation staff with system configuration * Assist automation staff with creating and editing software design documents * Assist operations staff with operation and commissioning tasks * Assist automation staff with debugging and punchlist resolution * Assist automation staff with introduction of new technologies and development projects * Assist operations staff with miscellaneous tasks relating to customer or internal projects or the operations area Additional Duties and Responsibilities: * Enhance product and technical knowledge and strengthen skills by participating in available training and learning from resident subject matter experts. * Complete and submit timely and accurate reports for payroll processing and time tracking, as required by the Automation Lead. Organizational Relationships: * Reports to Automation Lead Minimum Requirements: * High School diploma or equivalent * Working toward BS/BA in Engineering * Previous work experience preferred * Licenses/Certifications: None * At least sophomore standing in a Computer Science, Computer, or Electrical Engineering Undergraduate program. * Basic working knowledge of computers and their operating systems. * Familiarity with PLC programming, OPC integration, network configuration, electrical troubleshooting, virtual machines, and feedback systems is preferred. * Must be energetic, detail oriented, and motivated to learn. Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions: Must be able to travel occasionally as company requires. The base compensation range for this role is $15-20 an hour.
