What is this job about?


We are looking for a Senior Automation and Integration Architect to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of robust integration solutions for a diverse range of applications and systems. In this role, you will be pivotal in driving digital transformation for our clients by architecting and delivering advanced automation and integration solutions that align with their strategic business goals.


As a senior resource, you will leverage your deep understanding of enterprise architecture, data flows, and system interoperability to lead projects that simplify complex workflows, improve operational efficiency, and unlock business value. You will be a key contributor to defining integration standards, ensuring scalability, security, and performance across solutions.


Using platforms like Workato and other iPaaS tools, you will provide technical leadership to a team of developers, guiding them in crafting end-to-end solutions that connect enterprise systems like ERP, CRM, and other applications. Your expertise will ensure seamless communication between systems through APIs, event-driven architectures, and data integration frameworks.


Beyond project execution, you will collaborate closely with clients to assess their unique requirements, identify opportunities for process improvement, and design solutions that deliver long-term value. You will also play a critical role in mentoring team members, sharing best practices, and staying ahead of industry trends in integration and automation.

What we expect from you:


We are seeking a seasoned professional with 6-7 years of experience in automation, integration, and enterprise application development, coupled with a strong consulting attitude. At eSystems, delivering exceptional value to our customers comes first—technology is simply the tool we use to achieve it. You should excel at quickly identifying and analyzing business challenges, translating them into practical, impactful solutions. A solid foundation in enterprise systems like ERP and CRM, and system design is essential. Equally important are your ability to collaborate as a team player, an open mind to learn and adapt, and the confidence to advocate for your ideas while remaining receptive to others’ perspectives. Detailed responsibilities and duties:


  • Design, develop, and implement scalable, secure, and reliable integration solutions that meet clients' business requirements.
  • Architect end-to-end solutions using iPaaS platforms like Workato, incorporating APIs, event-driven architectures, and enterprise best practices.
  • Ensure robust authentication mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, API keys) and data security throughout the solution lifecycle.
  • Optimize integrations for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Proactively study and research complex tasks, staying updated on industry trends to bring innovative solutions.
  • Create and maintain detailed solution architecture documents and integration frameworks.
  • Engage with clients to understand their business processes, challenges, and objectives.
  • Analyse requirements to identify opportunities for automation and process optimization, delivering tailored solutions that drive tangible value.
  • Mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous learning.


Education level:

  • BSc. or MSc. in Computer Science or Business with IT major


Experience:


  • Minimum 6+ years of strong software/application development industry experience
  • Minimum 2+ years in relevant consulting or expert roles
  • Proficiency with at least one programming language: C#/Java/Ruby/Javascript/Python
  • Experience with API development, knowledge of REST and SOAP protocols, as well as proficiency in JSON and XML
  • Experience with relational database technologies
  • Good practical experience with enterprise software architecture
  • Experience with IPaaS or RPA is a plus
  • Fluency in Finnish (written and spoken)
  • Familiar with agile methodologies
  • Experience with Business Process Modelling is a plus

We especially value industry-specific experience from application integration in the areas of health services, finance and the utilities market.


Language Proficiency: As a native Finnish speaker, you communicate effortlessly. Swedish knowledge is a delightful bonus and fluent English is required as it is our company language.
