Our client, a global specialist in advanced maritime technology, is looking for a skilled and adventurous Field Service Engineer to join their automation division. You’ll be part of a close-knit group of experienced engineers, each with their own area of expertise—automation, drives, or power systems. While much of your work will be carried out independently on site, you’ll always have the backing of a dedicated team. Whether it’s troubleshooting support or travel logistics, everything is arranged to let you focus on what you do best: keeping vessels safe, efficient, and ready for the future.

This role involves regular international travel, working hands-on with complex systems aboard a wide range of ships—from naval vessels to large passenger ships. If you’re ready for a technically challenging job with a global scope, this may be your next career move.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out on-site maintenance and commissioning of automation and control systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to DCS and PLC systems.
• Offer remote technical support to customers as needed.
• Supervise subcontractors and collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare clear service documentation and technical reports.
• Provide consultative advice to clients on system optimization and upgrades.

Your Profile

We are looking for a flexible and motivated engineer who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys international assignments. You are technically proficient, customer-focused, and a proactive communicator.

You bring:

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Maritime Technology, or a related technical field.
• Relevant work experience in service engineering, preferably within the maritime sector.
• Solid command of English (both verbal and written).
• A valid EU driving license (B category).
• Willingness and ability to travel globally and stay abroad regularly.
