Our client, a leader in the automation industry, is seeking an Automation Engineer to join their team. As an Automation Engineer, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong problem analysis skills, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to manage multiple priorities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Automation Engineer

Location: South Elgin, Illinois

Pay Range: $83,200 - $95,680

What's the Job?

• Design and implement automated systems to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
• Repair and maintain all automated devices and machinery used in production.
• Integrate technology into processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Collaborate with IT, operations, and management teams to effectively integrate systems.
• Diagnose issues and perform necessary repairs, including welding and sheet metal operations.
  
  

What's Needed?

• Minimum 2-year technical degree in a related field.
• 5 years of PLC programming experience with systems such as Allen Bradley or Siemens.
• Experience troubleshooting and improving Electrical Control, Vision Systems, and Robotics.
• Strong mechanical comprehension and understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical prints and diagrams.
