Controls/Automation Engineer for a leading engineering consulting firm based near Roswell, GA. This role is responsible to work on multiple projects, handling complex automation assignments that require innovative problem-solving.

Required Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering is ideal)
• Must have at least five (5) years experience in automation & controls design
• Experience with PLC and HMI programming
• Ability to read and interpret civil, mechanical, and electrical drawings to support automation system design

• Allen Bradley, GE, RSLogix5000 experience

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design activities, PLC programming and commissioning for projects
• Perform automation & controls design evaluations
• Complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints.
• Provide technical design, programming and troubleshooting support.
• Use computer assisted design/drafting software to develop control enclosure designs.
• Perform PLC, HMI, and simulator programming that will meet all project acceptance criteria.
• Apply expertise in hazardous area classification and design of control panels in both classified and unclassified areas
