Job Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Ansible Automation Engineer to lead day-to-day Ansible development efforts focused on automating and managing infrastructure components such as Apache-based applications, NAS, SMB, and MDS networking environments. While prior experience with these specific technologies is a plus, it is not a strict requirement.

This role is dedicated to Ansible automation, with an emphasis on building, maintaining, and optimizing playbooks and workflows using Ansible Tower/Controller. It does not involve broader DevOps, SRE, or cloud engineering responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, job templates, and workflows using Ansible Tower/Controller
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather automation requirements and translate them into efficient solutions
• Integrate and utilize existing REST APIs within automation workflows
• Create and maintain test cases to validate Ansible automation
• Participate in Agile development cycles, including daily standups and sprint planning
• Provide occasional support during evenings or weekends, as needed

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with Ansible, including Tower/Controller, job templates, and complex workflows
• Proven ability to work with REST APIs (utilization, not development)
• Strong background in infrastructure automation
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and team-based development

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Python (5+ years preferred)
• Background with Apache applications, NAS, SMB, or MDS networking technologies is a plus
• Experience working in enterprise-scale automation environments
