About the Role

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for leveraging technology to drive transformation? We’re seeking a Custom App and Automation Strategist to help shape and implement enterprise-wide strategies focused on custom development, automation, and data-driven innovation within a large, mission-driven academic and healthcare environment.

This is a high-impact role that blends strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and technical expertise. You’ll work across departments to build roadmaps, define KPIs, develop business cases, and lead initiatives that unlock operational excellence through emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Co-develop and implement custom app, automation, and analytics strategies aligned with enterprise priorities
• Maintain a comprehensive roadmap for automation, custom development, data, BI, and AI initiatives
• Analyze business processes to identify digital transformation and automation opportunities
• Build business cases and help define ROI metrics for proposed initiatives
• Collaborate with stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to deliver strategy outcomes
• Lead and support governance, change management, and operating model implementation
• Translate technical concepts into compelling narratives for leadership and non-technical audiences
• Support development and communication of key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics
• Coordinate cross-enterprise governance meetings and stakeholder updates
• Develop high-quality communication materials and executive-level presentations
• Stay ahead of market trends and emerging technologies to inform strategy and innovation

What You’ll Bring

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Healthcare, or a related field (Master’s preferred)

✅ 6+ years’ experience in process improvement, automation, or strategy within complex environments

✅ Solid understanding of data, analytics, automation, and AI concepts

✅ Demonstrated success in developing business cases and process improvement plans

✅ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills—technical and non-technical

✅ Ability to create impactful executive presentations and strategic communication assets

✅ Familiarity with operating model design, governance, and enterprise-level roadmapping

✅ Bonus: Consulting experience, Six Sigma/Lean certification, or visual storytelling expertise
