Who We Seek
We’re looking for a hands-on engineer who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and can wear multiple hats—from coding and PLC programming to robotics, low-code systems (e.g., SAP, ERP, MES), and local IT support. This role is perfect for a self-starter with a passion for learning, a strong work ethic, and the ability to innovate independently while collaborating with a tight-knit team. A critical aspect of the role is maximally leveraging AI to optimize manufacturing processes, enable predictive maintenance, and drive data-driven decision-making.
Essential Duties:
Program and maintain PLCs (Rockwell/Allen Bradley, Siemens, Schneider) and industrial robots (Fanuc preferred) to optimize manufacturing processes.
Develop and debug code for automation and enterprise systems using Python, C++, JavaScript, or similar languages.
Implement low-code platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power Apps) and enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, ERP, MES) to streamline business operations.
Leverage AI tools and technologies (e.g., machine learning, predictive analytics) to enhance automation, predictive maintenance, and process optimization.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical components of production equipment.
Manage on-site IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cybersecurity.
Collaborate with production teams to enhance efficiency and implement innovative AI-driven solutions.
Work independently to scope and execute automation, AI, and IT projects.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Proficiency in PLC programming, robotics, and coding (Python, C++, JavaScript).
Familiarity with low-code platforms or enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, ERP, MES) is a plus.
Experience or comfort with maximally leveraging AI tools and technologies for manufacturing optimization.
Hands-on experience with electronics and industrial equipment troubleshooting.
Basic IT skills (networking, server management, cybersecurity).
High emotional maturity, flexibility, and ability to work independently and in teams.
Willingness to learn and innovate, particularly with AI, is critical.
Ability to work in a production environment, including standing, climbing, and occasional travel (10–20%).
Preferred but not Required: Certifications in PLC programming, robotics, IT systems, or AI (e.g., machine learning). Knowledge of HMI development (Rockwell, Siemens, AutomationDirect).
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
2+ years of experience in controls, automation, or manufacturing (new graduates with strong potential welcome).
Min 2+ years experience in automotive or manufacturing industries.
