We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Controls Engineer to join their dynamic team.
This position plays a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems to meet customer-specific requirements. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate robotics and automation technologies that drive efficiency, improve quality, and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities
- System Design: Develop customized machine systems, considering production goals, space constraints, safety, and budget.
- Integration Planning: Define integration requirements, project scope, timelines, and resource needs in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Hardware and Software Integration: Ensure seamless integration of robotics, sensors, actuators, vision systems, and control platforms.
- Programming and Configuration: Program and debug PLCs, robot controllers, vision systems, and HMIs to ensure reliable and efficient automation.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct testing and fine-tuning to verify performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for support and knowledge transfer.
- Training and Support: Deliver training and technical assistance to users and maintenance teams for successful system adoption.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current on emerging automation technologies and proactively seek opportunities to improve systems and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (Associate degree with strong experience also considered)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automation system integration (design, programming, and deployment)
- Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLCs, HMI systems, vision systems, and at least one robot programming platform (e.g., FANUC, Kawasaki, Staubli, Kuka, ABB)
- Deep understanding of robotics principles, control systems, and safety standards
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
