representing N&D® as a service oriented member of our claims team, responsiveness with policyholders and agents is of the utmost importance
establishing timely contact with policy holders, claimants and witnesses following the report of a claim
analyzing policy terms to ensure that the coverage sought applies to the loss event
investigating loss facts to determine liability and to rule out fraud
assessing appropriate damages and negotiating settlements
monitoring vendor usage and controlling expense costs
order police reports and speak with police officers to gain more knowledge on the claim
send appropriate emails to policyholders, agents, and attorneys
draft up letters to send out for coverage denials
report claims to other insurance carriers for subrogation purposes
Qualifications
be driven and interested in progressively more complex roles within the organization experience working in a customer service field
1 or more years of claims experience preferred
Bachelors Degree
be comfortable engaging in negotiations with consumers and attorneys
posses strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
posses the ability to work independently and in a team environment
be proficient in Word, Excel & Outlook
