New York Spine and Wellness Center, the regional leader in providing chronic pain services to CNY has an opening for a full-time Workers Comp and private insurance Authorization Representative.
The Authorization Representative is responsible for obtaining authorizations from workers comp and private insurances for procedures/injections performed in our office and at our surgery centers. This position will also be responsible for scheduling, calls to insurance companies, calls/questions from internal staff and patients, and point of service collections, while utilizing AllScripts (our EHR program).
Qualified candidates must have excellent communication and customer service skills. HS diploma required, Associates Degree preferred. At least one year of experience in authorizations and experience using Veradigm and Altera is preferred. Strong computer skills are a must. Must be courteous, efficient and able to multi-task in a fast pace setting.
Starting rate of pay $16.50-19.00 DOE
