AV Programmer
RoomReady is looking to expand our technology team. The AV Programmer’s primary role is the development and testing of automation code to deliver simple and intuitive user experiences for RoomReady’s customers. This person is a proactive, accurate, and knowledgeable individual contributing to our Integration Services team. The ideal candidate has experience troubleshooting and installing meeting rooms, huddle spaces, training rooms, and board rooms. This position will need to be in the Eastern or Central time zones, ideally within 30 minutes of a RoomReady facility.

Key Responsibilities
- Programming and configuration of AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron, Q-sys).
- Author, test and support code for use in AV control system processors, UC appliances and other solutions with automation capabilities
- Accurate and on-time delivery of code in alignment with project schedules.
- Collaborate with other programmers to develop and implement AV solutions tailored to client needs.
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide on-site support during installation and integration of AV systems, develop installation best practices
- Create and maintain documentation for AV system configurations and programming.
- Develop user interfaces with a customer-focused philosophy.
- Configure software, including but not limited to: Codec, Audio DSP, digital signage, and BYOD platforms.
- Utilizes Integration team as the primary communication conduit for technical questions, verifications, and issue reporting.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and within expected timeframes. This includes but may not be limited to source code, PAFs & UI screenshots.
Skills and Qualifications:
As an AV Programmer, the ideal candidate will need excellent communication and customer service skills combined with the required qualifications below:
- Ability to synthesize complex or diverse information.
- Problem Solving – ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and gathers and analysis information skillfully.
- Aptitude and desire to learn and use new technologies as they are introduced to the company.
- Must be able to work independently and make decisions within the scope of policies, procedures and budgets of the Company.
- Must be solution-focused and results-driven.
- Customer and employee relation skills will have direct results on the success of this position.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Eng., Audio Eng., or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in audio visual programming or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience with audio DSP configurations from Biamp and QSC
- Knowledge of AV control systems, programming languages and design programs
- Preferred CTS, Crestron and Q-SYS certified
