Description of Position Under the supervision of the Principal and Athletic Director or designee, this position organizes and maintains a school athletic training areas; assist in the conditioning and physical fitness of athletes and prevention; provides a wide range of prevention and treatment services, rehabilitation treatment, evaluation, reconditioning, education, and guidance for student-athlete engaged in various school sports in accordance with specific instruction from coaching staff or consulting physician; to store, issue, repair, and maintain athletic and physical education equipment, materials, and supplies; maintain accurate student information and updates student athletic records as needed; and performs other related work as required. Athletic Training Services: The management and provision of care of injuries to a physically active person. The term includes the rendering of emergency care, development of injury prevention programs, and providing appropriate preventative and devices for the physically active person. The term also includes the assessment, management, treatment, rehabilitation and reconditioning of the physically active person, heat, cold, light, air, water, electricity, sound, massage and the use of therapeutic exercises, reconditioning exercise and fitness programs.

Position is open immediately This shift works in the afternoon through the evening for 8 hours per day to support athletic program. Some weekend/overtime may be assigned. • 12 vacation days per year • 12 sick days per year • 3 PN Days • 15 paid holiday • $11,750 paid toward employee benefits Education and Experience: • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in athletic training, health, physical education, kinesiology, or a related field. • One year of experience working in athletic training, physical therapy, or a related field. • Experience working in a school athletic department or sport facility. • Valid First Aid, CPR, and AED certificate issued by an authorized agency. • Valid Athletic Trainer certificate issued by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) • Valid California driver's license. • Valid Instructor certification to teach First Aid, CPR, and AED certification courses, is preferred.
