Summary

Job Responsibilities:


  • Overall: Maintain vendor relationships to execute regional sourcing strategies; ensure NB global apparel sourcing objectives are clearly articulated and achieved
  • Manage KPI and Vendor Action Plans to obtain Vendor Scorecard results above targets set by Strategic Sourcing
  • Allocation: Support vendor and supplier allocation strategy for product flowing through APAC production sites. Engage key stakeholders (Development, Design, Technical, Manager, Sourcing)
  • Delivery: Manage day-to-day vendor relations and production WIP tracking; act as conduit to Apparel Operations Team (AOM) and Supply Planning Operations (SPO) to ensure vendors comply with all NB standards, quality processes, special product criteria, shipment requirements (documents, invoicing) and NB Logistics team as needed
  • T1 & T2 Capability: Resolve process and capability gaps with vendors, and work with cross functional teams as needed
  • Quality: Engage regional QC to communicate and resolve issues as required
  • GTM Calendar: Collaborate with cross functional and Calendar team to ensure all relevant information is validated for critical steps of the GTM calendar. Ensure suppliers and vendors have a clear understanding on vendor activities, events and respective completion dates
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate and/or lead x-functional projects to drive continuous improvement
  • Future View: Support projects to improve the business from both NB and factory perspectives (Focus on cost; FCA and Landed)


Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s Degree holder, ideally from Manufacturing, Textiles, Apparel Merchandising or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 8-10 years working experience in product development and sourcing.
  • Product knowledge of lifestyle/functional jacket, outerwear, pant and printing techniques is preferrable.
  • Comprehensive understanding of fabric construction and performance, garment construction, production processes, and general logistic aspects of the industry
  • Knowledgeable in export and import regulatory requirements including custom tariff classification and respective duty rates
  • Strong project management, negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong pre-costing analysis and cost negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage complex business issues and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to develop relationships with key business partners and cross functional teams
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, goals-oriented, and time-sensitive environment
  • Strong Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PPT)
  • Regional and International travel required
