About Team

At Vonage, our Lean Agile Centre of Excellence (LACE) team is dedicated to fostering high-performing teams and enabling efficient, outcome-driven delivery. We empower our engineering and product teams by championing Lean and Agile principles, optimizing delivery processes, and aligning execution with business strategy. Our goal is to create a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and adaptability—ensuring that our teams can deliver impactful solutions that drive customer success and business growth.

Why This Role Matters

As a Scrum Master at Vonage, you’ll be at the heart of our Agile transformation, helping teams adopt Lean-Agile practices and drive meaningful change. Joining our team, you’ll play a key role in implementing a scalable Agile framework inspired by SAFe—but tailored to be more effective for our organization. This is a unique opportunity to grow your career while contributing to a business that is evolving and aligning for greater impact.

What You Will Do

As a Junior Scrum Master, you will work closely with experienced team members to develop your skills while supporting one or two teams in their Agile journey. With guidance, you will help foster a strong Agile culture, ensuring teams embrace Agile principles and practices.

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives) to support team collaboration and efficiency.
  • Promote Agile values and best practices within the team, encouraging continuous learning and improvement.
  • Identify and escalate team impediments, working with senior team members to resolve blockers.
  • Support teams in tracking key Agile metrics to improve predictability and delivery.
  • Encourage open communication within and between teams, fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration.
  • Assist Release Train Engineers (RTEs) in organizing large-scale Agile events, such as planning sessions and team syncs.

What will you bring?

We’re looking for a motivated and adaptable individual eager to develop as a Scrum Master. You’ll bring a strong foundation in Agile principles and a willingness to learn while working closely with experienced Agile practitioners.

Required

  • 3 years of experience in Agile environments or transferable experience from another role.
  • Basic knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP) and a strong desire to deepen your expertise.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration within teams.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and drive positive change.
  • Resilience and problem-solving abilities, with a constructive approach to challenges.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail to help track team progress and facilitate Agile events.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Preferred

  • Some exposure to project management, software development, or Agile frameworks.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Interest in scaling Agile and the potential to grow into an RTE role in the future.

There’s no perfect candidate. You don't need all the preferred qualifications to make a valuable impact on our team. Our employees and customers come from diverse backgrounds, so if you're passionate about what you could achieve at Vonage, we'd love to hear from you.
