What You’ll Do
This is a SkillBridge training opportunity open exclusively to transitioning U.S. military service members. As an Associate Project Manager intern, you’ll support our Project Management team and gain exposure to real-world AV project delivery, client communication, and operational workflows.
This hands-on experience is designed to build a strong foundation in project coordination and prepare you for potential career opportunities post-transition.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities
Learn and follow AVI-SPL project management processes and tools
Assist with project coordination, scheduling, and documentation
Participate in internal and external project kick-off meetings
Support internal and external communications related to project status
Monitor progress through site reports and raise issues as needed
Assist with closeout documentation and project wrap-up tasks
Shadow experienced Project Managers across different phases of the project lifecycle
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Must-Haves
Active duty service member approved for SkillBridge participation
Interest in project coordination, operations, or AV/technology
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a dynamic environment
Nice-To-Haves
Prior exposure to AV or IT systems
Familiarity with tools like Excel, Smartsheet, or scheduling software
Comfort in customer-facing or field environments

Training Type: DoD SkillBridge Internship
Format: On-the-job training + online resources
Length: ~6 weeks / 160 hours
Compensation: This is an unpaid internship through the DoD SkillBridge program. Participants will continue to receive military pay and benefits during the training period.
