We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Civil Assistant Project Manager with expertise in mass excavation and underground utilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing projects from conception to completion, with a focus on self-performing mass excavation and wet/underground utility work. Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with the project team.
Oversee all aspects of project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgetary constraints, and quality standards.
Coordinate resources, equipment, and materials to support efficient project operations.
Contract Management:
Manage subcontractor relationships and procurement processes as necessary.
Review and negotiate contracts, change orders, and other project-related agreements.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, including engineers, foremen, and subcontractors.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
Conduct regular meetings to review project progress, address issues, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
Client Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle. - Communicate project updates, milestones, and challenges effectively to clients and stakeholders. - Cultivate long-term client relationships through exceptional service and project delivery.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on mass excavation and underground utilities.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment related to mass excavation and underground utilities.
- Experience with self-performing project work and managing subcontractors.- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
