The Position is headquartered in Sacramento.
Under direction of the Caregiver Resource Unit Staff Services Manager I (SSM I) in the Supportive Services Bureau (SSB), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) performs a variety of functions intended to carry out the mission of the California Department of Aging (CDA) and provide leadership and support to the Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) in regards to the Title IIIE Family Caregiver Support Program (FCSP). The AGPA will also provide support to the California Caregiver Resource Centers (CRCs), as well as provide support to other ongoing CDA initiatives as it relates to serving California family caregivers, older adults and individuals with disabilities. The AGPA will work in a team environment and in collaboration/coordination with representatives from other teams including but not limited to other Older Americans Act Title III programs, and other and support staff from various bureaus and branches within CDA. The AGPA is responsible for sharing team leadership for the various team responsibilities including the provision of technical assistance, program assessment and compliance, program support, policy, procedures and regulations, and contract administration. These responsibilities require the AGPA to participate in and support the vision, mission, and goals for the Caregiver Resource Unit and recognize issues that need to be brought to the team's attention. The AGPA is a full participant in team decision-making, strategy formulation, and problem resolution.
