Summary

Are you passionate about using spatial data analysis to help solve complex policy challenges such as housing affordability, equitable development, and climate resiliency? BERK Consulting is seeking an Associate GIS and Data Analyst to support projects across all our practice areas, such as land use planning, policy development, public finance, strategic planning, and economics. Our mission is to help public and nonprofit agencies position themselves for success.



Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct analyses using a combination of spatial and tabular data.
  • Create maps, graphics, and interactive visualizations to communicate findings to multiple audiences.
  • Build and manage quantitative and statistical models.
  • Use data analysis techniques to help answer policy questions.
  • Present findings internally and to clients.



Required Skills and Abilities

We seek a multi-talented, multi-dimensional team member who is passionate about working in the public interest.


  • At least two years of related work experience or equivalent training.
  • Excellent analytic, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to independently gather, evaluate, process, and analyze data using ArcGIS Pro and Microsoft Excel.
  • Solid understanding of GIS concepts and spatial analysis techniques, including cartography, map design, and data preparation.
  • Ability to support multiple concurrent projects with strong attention to detail.


Employment Details:


Location: Based in our Seattle office with a flexible hybrid work environment


Salary Range: $75,000 to $92,000 depending on experience.
