WHAT YOU'LL DO The Associate General Manager provides administrative and management assistance to the General Management office, assisting the General Manager in supervisory tasks and budgeting processes as needed. The Associate General Manager supervises Company Management and guest artist relations. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: * 3-5 years related experience and knowledge of all aspects relating to theatrical production. * Knowledge of theatrical unions. * Possess the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, to work collaboratively in a team setting, and to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals. * General understanding of theater operations and specifically the technical aspects involved in productions. * Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel & Access. * Ability to transport up to 50 pounds. * Evening and weekend work required. DESIRED SKILLS: * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to support the needs of a wide variety of theatrical operations. RESPONSIBILITIES: Contracting: * Draft all actor, designer, and consultant contracts. * Negotiate terms with artists as assigned by the General Manager. * Coordinate drafted language with artists and agents after general terms have been accepted. * Oversee execution accepted drafts for signature by Company Management. * Maintain boiler plate templates for guest artist contracts, updating and adjusting as organizational needs adjust. * Ensure negotiated terms that affect other departments, i.e., billing, comp tickets, etc., are adhered to and information is appropriately disseminated within the organization. * Assist in compliance within collective bargaining agreements, union, inquiries, and union relationships. Budget Tracking: * Update forecasted expenses for contractual agreements. * Assist in budget planning and updates. * Assist in season planning budget creation. Company Management: * Oversee all company management activities and staffing, including supervising Company Manager. * Select outside vendors for housing and custodial services and negotiate and manage those relationships. * Facilitate the artists' onboarding and experience at Arena Stage, including ensuring dissemination of organization's applicable policies and procedures. * Attend to the requests, needs, and questions of artists as it relates to the organization and their residency. * Liaise between artists and Arena Stage departments. * Serve as respondent for company management emergencies, as needed. Administration: * Coordinate staffing and contracting developmental readings, as necessary. * Assist in coordinating overhire staffing, as needed. * Work closely with the General Manager to develop strategic plans for the department's future. * Assist in other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
