Associate Engineer/Engineering technician role is an opportunity to jumpstart a career in the electrical engineering industry. VPT Rad is searching for a highly motivated and detail-oriented associate engineer/engineering technician. VPT Rad is a fast moving and ever-changing environment that will test your ability to think on the fly and discover innovative solutions for many engineering tasks. You will learn: * The essence of characterizing silicon-based devices and the effects of multiple types of radiological environments have on them. * Soldering of various devices such as thru-hole, surface mount, leadless and more Key responsibilities include: * Operating automated test equipment (ATE) for the execution of radiation testing/characterization of electrical components. * Operating machinery that is used for the exposure of electrical components. * Assisting VPT Rad's test team around the laboratory by assembling PCBs and test fixtures. * Analyzing data collected from testing. This is a full-time, permanent position.
