Associate Director/Director – Sales
Location: Gurugram
We are looking for a dynamic, high-performing Director – Sales to join our team. This leadership role is pivotal in driving advertising sales strategy, building strong client relationships, and accelerating revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a sharp commercial mindset, a deep understanding of the ad tech ecosystem, and a proven ability to hunt for new business while nurturing existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive Affle’s media and platform sales to advertisers, agencies, and e-commerce/app clients, with a strong focus on programmatic and performance-driven campaigns.
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with business goals.
- Lead client acquisition efforts across performance and lead-generation campaigns.
- Build and sustain long-term client relationships, understanding their needs and offering customized advertising solutions.
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle — from prospecting and pitching to closing deals and post-sale engagement.
- Optimize programmatic sales efforts, ensuring high ROI and performance.
- Collaborate with ad exchanges, DSPs, SSPs, and other ecosystem partners to enhance campaign reach and efficiency.
- Track and analyze campaign and sales metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Partner with internal teams (marketing, legal, finance, etc.) to develop impactful pitches, ensure deal compliance, and drive campaign execution.
- Prepare reports for leadership on revenue, forecasts, and challenges.
- Own the ad sales budget and implement cost-effective strategies to maximize revenue.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to remain ahead of the curve.
- Regularly gather client feedback to enhance offerings and improve client satisfaction.
Required Skills & Experience:
- MBA from a Tier 1 Institute.
- 8+ years of experience in digital advertising sales with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Deep understanding of AdTech, programmatic advertising, mobile/performance marketing, and related terminologies.
- Strong experience managing DSPs, SSPs, and retargeting campaigns.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proven leadership abilities with experience managing high-performing sales teams.
- Analytical mindset with a passion for data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile, and collaborative work environment.
