ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

PURPOSE

The Associate Director, Program Management, leads the planning, execution, and delivery of complex initiatives, ensuring they align with organizational goals and deliver desired outcomes. This role is responsible for strategic oversight of cross-functional outcomes, resource planning, process development, and organizational compliance.

Key Roles And Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between Program Management and other departments.
  • Ensure that priorities and initiatives are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead and develop Program Managers and Senior Program Managers.
  • Partner with Department Leaders on governance models and decision-making frameworks.
  • Implement performance measurement systems to track program outcomes.
  • Participate in the hiring and training of program management staff.
  • Report detailed status updates to leadership and the executive team.
  • Drive adoption of program management tools and technologies.
  • Facilitate resolution of cross-functional conflicts and competing priorities.
  • Other tasks as assigned by leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 8+ years of experience in program management.
  • Experience managing budgets for multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and resource optimization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree.
  • Experience with external CDMO contracting.
  • PMP certification.
  • Scientific background with education in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related life science fields.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Proven track record as a successful program manager or project manager.
  • Experience leading teams through long, complex program implementations.
  • Knowledge of current program management methods and best practices.
  • Cross-functional leadership and influence.
  • Background in budget and workforce development.
  • Balancing tactical execution with strategic vision.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with industry-standard project management software and tools.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Performing the responsibilities of the job requires ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard. Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Ability to read and type while sitting in front of a computer up to 4 hours at a time. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. May occasionally have to lift, tug, and pull up to 25 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Curevo offers its employees a generous range of compensation and benefits.

The salary range for this position is $155,000 to $170,000 annually. The salary range may vary based on Curevo’s compensation practices and an applicant’s qualifications and experience.
