The Position:
Associate Director of School Programs
This full-time, exempt position’s overall objective is to maintain school client satisfaction, ensure service delivery, and coordinate internal program logistics. Upon gaining fluency in the work, this role will have opportunities for growth such as owning and leading key department projects. This hybrid role includes a combination of in-person (2-3 days per week at our Lincoln Park office) and remote work. Greater scheduling flexibility may be possible after the first school year.
Compensation And Benefits
Annual Salary: $60,000 plus up to $3,000 in annual bonuses.
Academic Approach offers competitive compensation and a dynamic, collaborative, growing company environment. Benefits include health, dental, and vision benefits, up to 12 days of accrued vacation days per year, 5 days of sick time per year, paid holidays, 4 half days per year, 401(k) participation after one year of employment and 1,000 hours completed, and paid parental leave. Accrual of vacation days increases by 8 hours per year for each of the first 8 years of (full-time) work in this role. This annual increase takes effect automatically on the anniversary of your first day in this full-time position.
The
Associate Director of School Programs will report to the
Director of School Programs, Operations.
As an
Associate Director of School Programs, you will have the following job
responsibilities:
- Maintain School Client Satisfaction & Service Delivery
- Serve as a primary liaison between their school partners and assigned instructors
- Maintain relationships from point of sale through program implementation
- Coordinate with school administrators to manage all program logistics
- Assist in launching programs to ensure a smooth first day of service delivery
- Significant travel to Chicagoland school partners during peak times required
- Program Coordination & Data Management
- Collect, analyze, and provide practice test data summaries to schools
- Support syllabus customization based on practice data insights
- Provide administrative support, including data entry, analysis, and documentation
- Professional Development & Instructional Support
- Lead professional development sessions for external teachers
- Collaboration & Additional Responsibilities
- 1-on-1 Tutoring and School Programs Teaching (amount varies by season)
- Work closely with the School Programs team on various projects
- Adapt to evolving responsibilities as needed
- Be a self-starter who identifies problems and proactively develops solutions

The
Associate Director of School Programs position requires the following
qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Teaching and/or education industry experience required.
- Exceptional organization, communication, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills required
- Must be able to prioritize multiple projects and clients
- Experience with Microsoft Office required
- Client support, or customer service experience preferred.
- Comfort with standardized tests preferred
