Stone Ridge is seeking an Associate Director of Marketing and Communication to begin during Summer 2025.
Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, a member of the international Network of Sacred Heart Schools, is a Catholic, independent college preparatory school for girls, Grades 1-12, with a co-educational Early Childhood Program, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten in Bethesda, Maryland. With over 780 students, and rooted in the Goals & Criteria of Sacred Heart education, Stone Ridge inspires young women to lead and serve, through lives of purpose that integrate faith, intellect, community, social action, and personal growth in an atmosphere of wise freedom.
The Associate Director of Marketing and Communications will be responsible for:
- larger, strategic projects that support the mission of the School, including project management for the department, the Stone Ridge Magazine, video strategy, advertising, and digital marketing funnels.
- acting as the project management lead for the office, developing and overseeing project management tools and systems for the organization, execution, and optimization of the team’s workflows and deliverables.
- planning ahead seasonally for major projects, providing support to colleagues on use of our project management system (currently Monday.com), and maintaining updated dashboards for reporting out to leadership.
- collaborating with the Director of Marketing and Communications to develop digital marketing campaigns (including landing pages, email funnels, and digital advertising) and oversee campaign execution and optimization.
- acting as lead liaison with the advertising vendor to manage digital campaigns and oversee reporting from vendors and analytics tracking, using data to optimize campaigns.
- collaborating with Branding and Design Lead and Content Strategist and Copywriter on ad creation and on managing content and presence on external online directories and websites (including niche.com, Wikipedia, Private School Review, etc.)
- maintaining awareness of school market trends being used among market basket schools.
- building and cultivating relationships with faculty, staff, students and parents while encouraging all constituents to share community-made marketing content.
- collaborating as part of a team, managing numerous projects and timelines at once and meeting regularly to review and prioritize projects.
- helping to build an overall positive work environment and team experience.
- seeking out formal and informal training opportunities to improve one’s professional skills.
- attending all professional meetings and professional development opportunities as required.
- maintaining professional confidentiality regarding student and collegial information.
Requirements/qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in English or Marketing/Communications or a related field.
- A minimum of five years of Marketing/Communications experience.
- Strong written, editorial, and oral communication skills.
- Project management skills and experience managing creative projects with project management systems.
- Demonstrated track record of organization, attention to detail, and efficiency.
- The ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
- A commitment to work in a mission-driven organization.
- A demonstrated ability to authentically capture and amplify a wide range of voices and embody a commitment to institutional diversity, equity and inclusion.
- A nuanced understanding of social media best practices and a keen eye for developing cultural trends.
Experience in Catholic and/or independent schools is preferred but not required, as is experience with photography, videography and digital asset management. This position is a 12-month role, with a salary range of $90,000-$96,000.
