Mantell Associates are currently supporting a cutting-edge molecular diagnostics innovator in their search for an Associate Director of Bioinformatics to drive the next generation of clinical and translational data solutions.

Associate Director of Bioinformatics - Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and validate bioinformatics pipelines in support of IVD assay development and clinical trials.
• Oversee bioinformatics strategy across assay development, clinical validation, and regulatory submission, supporting molecular diagnostics products across oncology, rare disease, and infectious disease.
• Lead genomic data analysis for biomarker discovery, companion diagnostics, and real-world data integration.
• Interface with regulatory and clinical teams to support FDA submissions and ISO-compliant bioinformatics workflows.
• Manage internal and external stakeholder communications to ensure scientific and commercial alignment.
• Guide data architecture, cloud analytics, and integration of LIMS/ELN systems to enable end-to-end data traceability.

Associate Director of Bioinformatics – Requirements:

• PhD (or equivalent) in Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field.
• Experience leading cross-functional bioinformatics efforts in a molecular diagnostics or clinical genomics context.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (CAP/CLIA, IVDR, FDA 510(k)/PMA) as they apply to software and data.
• Skilled in NGS data analysis, variant interpretation, and reporting systems.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement experience in a fast-paced biotech environment.
