Office of Research and Knowledge Transfer

Responsibilities

• Assist the senior management in reviewing and formulating the University's strategies and policies in research

• Lead and manage the teams to support the overall research development of the University

• Advise on and oversee research grant applications and administration for both internal and external funding

• Work on contracts and agreements on research matters between the University and collaborating parties, and provide guidance and support to faculty members

• Provide strategic support and coordination for the University's Shenzhen Research Institute and other regional bases in the Mainland

• Plan, organise, and execute key initiatives and events to enhance visibility and engagement with University's research initiatives

• Co-ordinate and prepare reports and data as required

• Manage and oversee the budget, ensuring efficient use of resources

• Manage the daily operations and the team, including staff development and performance management

• Provide secretarial support for the Research Committee and other relevant internal committees/task forces

• Represent the Office in internal and/or external meetings and networks


Requirements

• A good university degree, with at least 12 years' relevant working experience in the higher education sector

• Solid experience in corporate report writing and compiling statistical reports

• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills in both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua)

• Strong analytical and organisational skills

• Travelling and site visits may be occasionally required


Salary and Fringe Benefits

The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
