Seaport Therapeutics is seeking an experienced Associate Directory of IT Operations to oversee our outsourced Managed Service Provider (MSP) relationship and ensure high-quality delivery of IT services across the organization. Reporting to the VP of IT, this individual will act as the internal point of contact for day-to-day technology operations, manage vendor performance, and partner cross-functionally to maintain a secure, efficient, and scalable IT environment. This position requires a presence in the Seaport area of Boston, with a strong preference for being onsite 3 - 4 days per week to foster collaboration and effective leadership as the IT function is established.

Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the primary liaison between Seaport Therapeutics and the MSP, ensuring timely, effective, and high-quality IT support
* Monitor service levels, issue resolution, ticket escalations, and user satisfaction across help desk, infrastructure, and endpoint management
* Collaborate with the MSP to oversee user onboarding/offboarding, software provisioning, and device lifecycle management
* Maintain visibility into network, cloud (O365, Google Workspace), and security operations, escalating concerns as needed
* Support implementation of IT policies, security standards, and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, GxP if applicable)
* Partner with internal stakeholders to assess technology needs and coordinate IT support for new systems or business initiatives
* Assist with vendor selection, contract renewals, and performance reviews
* Track and manage IT asset inventory and licensing
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in IT operations
* Support the VP of IT in strategic planning, budgeting, and project execution
Qualifications
* 7+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2 years managing or directly overseeing MSP relationships
* Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
* Experience supporting growing biotech, pharma, or life sciences organizations strongly preferred
* Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, identity and endpoint management, and cybersecurity fundamentals
* Experience with managing Microsoft Cloud Services (Entra ID, Intune, Defender, etc.) strongly preferred
* Demonstrated ability to manage third-party vendors, service contracts, and SLAs
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a collaborative mindset
* A passion to learn new skills and technologies to forward the company's goals and protect it critical data and infrastructure
