The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the statutory organisation promoting Hong Kong’s external trade, seeks a dynamic, high-calibre and experienced marketing professional to join our Council.

Responsibilities:

• As Associate Director in charge of the trade promotional activities.
• Lead a team for implementing trade promotional programme.
• Analyse market trends, identify new opportunities and expansion, and keep abreast of market development.
• Build strategic alliances and relationships with industry key players and trade associations through proactive engagement.
• Perform any other duties as directed by management.
  
  

Requirements:

• University graduate with a minimum of 15 years’ solid managerial experience, preferably with sizable organisations, in any of the following areas: sales and marketing; exhibition/event organisation or public/corporate relations etc.
• Strong inclination and understanding of national and Hong Kong economy, trade and business arena covering various industries, and markets and business opportunities for Hong Kong.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua; knowledge of a third language an advantage.
• Mature with superior skills in sales, marketing and communication.
• A good team player and leader with strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  
  

Remuneration and Benefits:

The successful candidate will be offered a two-year contract with prospects for renewal upon expiry. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus an appropriate contract-end gratuity. Medical benefits and annual leave will be offered.
