Posting Summary Job Title Associate Director, Alumni Relations Division Division of Institutional Advancement Department Office of Alumni Relations Work Status Full Time Position Category Staff FLSA Exempt Pay Range Exempt Salary Range $80,000 - $95,000 / year Fund Source State Support Job Summary The Associate Director, Alumni Relations will report directly to the Assistant Vice President, Alumni Relations and Strategic Engagement. Working in consultation with the AVP, the Director is responsible for the broad-based engagement of 60,000 alumni worldwide, which includes local, on-campus and regional activities. This position will require some travel, evenings and weekends. Job Duties * Work with AVP and Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) Team to develop and oversee implementation of plans to increase alumni participation through strategic events and programs both locally and nationally. * Manage partnerships with the schools/colleges/centers for alumni outreach and engagement opportunities unique to each area. * Oversees alumni relations communications & publications which includes social media, Alumni News (in partnership with IA Communication Director) and email communications - all of which need to stay on brand for the university * Create an engagement strategy for various young alumni groups such as GOLD (graduates of the last decade). * Assists the AVP with regional engagement strategies including alumni meetings, events, and other outreach activities. * Assists with on reunion class and senior class giving programs and events; creating class giving initiatives in partnership with Development. * Track and evaluate the success of alumni engagement efforts through metrics such as event attendance, participation rates, and alumni feedback. * Develops strong partnerships with the various departments within Institutional Advancement: including Development, Advancement Services, and Special Events, Marketing and Public Relations - which helps the division function effectively as a cohesive unit. Solves problems and answers key questions through close interactions with team leaders and the division's extended leadership team. * Assists with maintaining the database by inputting contact reports in a timely manner. * Contribute to cultivation and discovery activities to build long-term relationships with alumni. * In coordination with AVP, assist with engagement activities to develop affinity-based programming for high-profile constituents. * Maintain a working knowledge of fundraising and the role of alumni relations * Being familiar with the university's strategic plan and assessing department goals Requested Minimum Qualifications Education A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Experience At least 1-3 years of work experience in Alumni Relations, Development or a related field is required. Other Preferences for Consideration Preferences * A Master's Degree is preferred. * 2-4 years in Alumni Relations, Development or a related field is preferred.
