Summary

Job Title: Associate – Asset Management


Location: Fully Onsite, Irvine

Salary: $110,000 – $140,000 + Bonus


Role Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Associate – Asset Management to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate with Asset Management Directors to oversee a diverse portfolio of affordable and market-rate multifamily properties across the U.S. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced real estate professional who is detail-oriented and passionate about maximizing asset performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze market trends and asset performance to develop and execute strategic business plans.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Finance, Construction, Investor Relations) and 3rd party property managers to monitor monthly performance and budgets.
  • Research and maintain an in-depth understanding of local market dynamics and competitors.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and sustainability standards across all assets.
  • Monitor capital expenditure projects and act as a liaison with vendors.
  • Support the Acquisitions team during property inspections, due diligence, and final underwriting.
  • Conduct on-site visits to understand property-specific goals and challenges.
  • Assist in investor and lender reporting.
  • Build and maintain financial models for reforecasting, return analysis, and strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute to quarterly and annual asset valuations and fund reporting.
  • Support asset disposition and refinancing efforts, ensuring smooth coordination and execution.
  • Perform other Asset Management duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis or business analytics within real estate; multifamily sector experience is strongly preferred.
  • LIHTC experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and intellectual curiosity.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple departments.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Must be available to work onsite in Irvine, CA, five days per week.
  • Proficient in Excel, Yardi, and Adobe.
