About the Role
P A Architect is looking for a talented and experienced Associate Architect to join our studio in Davie, Florida. We specialize in high-end custom residential homes, while also taking on a variety of commercial projects. Our team produces complete architectural, structural, and MEP plan sets for permitting and construction, all under one roof.
This role plays a key part in supporting the quality, efficiency, and coordination of our technical documents. You’ll collaborate with senior leadership, assist drafters, and help ensure projects meet the high standards of excellence our firm is known for.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means taking initiative in solving technical challenges, mentoring drafters, and reviewing drawings to ensure accuracy, consistency, and code compliance. You’ll be relied upon for your attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively across architectural, structural, and MEP scopes.
Responsibilities
• Produce and manage construction documents across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines
• Mentor drafting staff by answering questions, reviewing work, and providing design clarity
• Conduct internal quality control reviews for accuracy and coordination
• Collaborate with project leads to meet deliverable timelines and design objectives
• Ensure plans meet Florida Building Code, ADA, and local permitting requirements
• Address revisions and change requests in a timely and professional manner
• Assist in maintaining consistent drafting standards and file organization
• Support efficient workflow management across multiple ongoing projects
Qualifications
• 5 to 10 years of architectural experience, with strong construction document background
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
• Familiarity with high-end residential design and commercial projects
• Solid understanding of plan coordination between architectural, structural, and MEP scopes
• Knowledge of FBC, ADA standards, and permitting in South Florida
• Excellent communication, time management, and problem solving skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, or equivalent practical experience
Compensation and Benefits
• Starting at $40+ per hour, depending on experience
