Posting Number FAE1501 Advertised Title Assistant/Associate Professor of Teaching in Biostatisics Campus Location Main Campus (Memphis, TN) Position Number 008823 Category Full-Time Faculty Department School of Public Health Position Summary The School of Public Health at the University of Memphis invites applications for a 9-month non-tenure track Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor position in Biostatistics. The anticipated start date is Spring 2023, but Fall 2023 is acceptable. The position is in the Division of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Environmental Health. Duties and responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate Biostatistics courses, mentoring undergraduate and/or graduate students, and serving on committees to further develop, support, and enhance the Division and the School of Public Health. Research record is not required but encouraged. The successful candidate is expected to have demonstrated teaching achievement. Minimum Position Qualifications Candidates should have an earned doctoral degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a closely related field and experience commensurate with the academic rank of Associate Professor. Rank will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications. Special Conditions Candidates with teaching experience in statistical computing, data mining, and machine learning are especially encouraged to apply.
