Summary

The Biola Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is now accepting applications for a full-time Tenure-Track faculty position to begin in August 2026. Responsibilities: Provide instruction in the fundamentals of medical/surgical nursing in the classroom, skills lab, and clinical setting. Provide feedback to students via online learning activities and assessment of assignments submitted through the Learning Management System (i.e., Canvas). Demonstrate excellent communication, accountability, and initiative, along with a strong Christian commitment and interest in the integration of faith with learning. Provide academic advising and mentoring for students towards a future career and in their Christian faith. Remain current in their field by engaging in scholarly or clinical work and being active in professional organizations. Participate in course, curriculum, and program development. Work strategically with diverse colleagues, students, and community members. Participate in campus, university, and community service activities. Qualifications: A doctoral degree in nursing or a related field that includes clinical preparation in a nursing specialty and preparation for the teaching role. Master's prepared candidates may be considered. Demonstrated expertise in a nursing specialty area. Two years of clinical experience in the area of instruction and a minimum of one year full-time equivalency in clinical practice preferred. Current California RN license Current CPR Healthcare Provider Card at time of hire. Possess a commitment to high-quality instruction in an in-person or online student-centered environment. Proficient in computer, online, and learning management system skills. The School of Science, Technology, and Health (SSTH) serves both graduate and undergraduate students. The undergraduate program of the SSTH is the largest among the nine schools that comprise Biola University.
