Job Summary:
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Assistant Video Editor to join our team in Mohali. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for editing engaging social media reels and providing crucial support in the editing process for music videos. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual to contribute to dynamic visual content and grow their editing skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
* Independently edit short-form video content (reels) for various social media platforms, ensuring they are visually appealing, engaging, and optimized for each platform.
* Assist senior editors in the editing of music videos, including tasks such as organizing footage, creating rough cuts, applying basic effects, and ensuring smooth transitions.
* Maintain a strong understanding of current social media trends and best practices for video content.
* Incorporate music, sound effects, and graphics effectively to enhance the storytelling and impact of videos.
* Ensure all edited content aligns with brand guidelines and project objectives.
* Manage and organize project files efficiently.
* Collaborate effectively with the creative team, providing input and feedback on video concepts and execution.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest video editing software and techniques.

Qualifications:
* Proven experience in video editing, with a portfolio showcasing social media reel editing skills.
* Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro (required), DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
* Familiarity with motion graphics and visual effects software (e.g., Adobe After Effects) is a plus.
* A keen eye for visual storytelling, pacing, and attention to detail.
* Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube Shorts, etc.) and their specific video requirements.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* A passion for music and visual culture.
* Must be based in or willing to relocate to Mohali for this full-time, on-site position.

Bonus Points For:
* Experience editing music videos.
* Knowledge of color correction and grading.
* Basic understanding of cinematography and video production principles.
