Assistant Venue Manager - Mornings


The morning Assistant Venue Manager is the first contact the Bride, Groom, Wedding Party, Family and Vendors have on the wedding day. However, the Assistant Venue Manager’s day begins before clients arrive at the venue. Familiarity with the event and vendor timeline, Venue policies and day of tasks, a positive attitude and the ability to multitask are all the first steps to successful events at The Essence Event Center.


General Work Hours:

Scheduled Fridays and Saturdays (time and days vary within timeframe): 6:00 am - 4:00 pm


Key Responsibilities


  • Familiarizing yourself with the day of schedule, identifying points of potential timeline or vendor bottlenecks.
  • Arriving prior to the client and/or vendors to turn on the lights, open doors, place morning beverage packages in the Bridal or Groom’s Suites.
  • Make yourself available to answer questions and direct vendors and guests upon their arrival.
  • Monitor the security cameras.
  • Follow and enforce all venue policies and procedures
  • Report any changes, questions or violation of policies to the second shift Venue Manager
  • Complete morning event tasks checklist before leaving the venue.


Requirements, Skills and Abilities


  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older, and comfortable with alcohol sales
  • Must be available a minimum of 2 weekends per month
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to interpret and enforce venue policies and procedures.
  • Ability to apply decision-making authority.
  • Ability to work efficiently, prioritize and multitask.


Pay: $22/hour depending on experience
