We are currently seeking an Assistant to the Global Head of the Sales Strategy Division to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-level support to our General Manager in driving strategic global initiatives and expanding our business. As a qualified assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth communication and effective project management and execution within the division and around the globe.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for meetings and business development efforts
Conduct research and collect information to support strategic business development projects
Assist in creating and executing strategic plans and initiatives across various global regions
Support the General Manager in cultivating relationships with key stakeholders and clients
Encourage efficient communication and collaboration with internal teams and departments
Assist in drafting business proposals, contracts, and agreements
Handle confidential and sensitive information with the highest level of discretion
Organize and prioritize the General Manager's schedule, appointments, and travel logistics
Oversee the recruitment of SSD personnel in international locations
Manage contracts for consultants, set up expense declarations, and oversee expense approvals
Manage processes and procedures (e.g., RFQ management), and maintain automated agendas
Set up the intranet: Create a SharePoint site for SSD (internal use)
Requirements
Previous experience in an administrative or assistant capacity in sales, freight forwarding, or business consultancy
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a talent for prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
Outstanding written and verbal communication capabilities, coupled with a keen eye for detail
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), as well as knowledge of Sales Force and BI tools is advantageous
Ability to work autonomously while effectively collaborating within a diverse team environment
Exhibit professionalism and integrity, demonstrating the capacity to manage confidential information with care
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to navigate resistance effectively
Adaptable and capable of performing well under pressure
Understanding of the logistics industry and business development processes is beneficial
Proficient in English and Dutch; additional language proficiency is a plus
Willingness to travel regularly; EU citizenship is required
