Law.asia, a thriving legal media company with market-leading magazines focusing on Asia, has a vacancy for a talented Assistant Social Media Manager to help manage our multiple social media platforms, execute social media tasks and achieve wider and more effective audience coverage.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Create visually engaging and high-quality content;
- Assist in monitoring social media performance and collecting statistics from various platforms;
- Execute social media campaigns (including Facebook ads, LinkedIn ads, Xiaohongshu ads and other paid ads) and email marketing projects (including newsletters, editorial mentions, etc.) to achieve both long-term and project-based growth;
- Assist in conducting data analysis and market research (e.g. competitor analysis) and suggest ideas for improving our content and social media engagement;
- Work with external parties to ensure timely delivery of all social media tasks;
- Strategically develop new platforms to enhance audience engagement while effectively managing existing channels;
- Other media-related tasks and ad hoc projects;
Job requirements:
- A degree in communication, marketing, advertising, journalism or media-related discipline is preferred;
- At least 3 years experiences of managing corporate social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram, WhatsApp Channel, WeChat, and Xiaohongshu is preferred.
- Experience or knowledge in social media ads, such as Facebook Ads, LinkedIn ads, WeChat ads and Xiaohongshu ads, is a plus;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, and knowledge of graphic design;
- Fluent in English and Simplified Chinese with good writing skills. Editorial experience is preferred;
- Positive attitude and good communication skills while working within the team as well as with external parties;
- Willing to learn and self-driven, with strong attention to detail, and strict in meeting deadlines to deliver projects;
- Strong analytical and creative skills;
- Experience in social media tools such as Hootsuite, Zapier and Buffer is preferred.
Candidates with less experience will be considered for junior roles.
