Job Overview

Capable of performing test methods for complex formulations under general oversight and documenting those experiments per cGMP requirements. Must be able to calculate, organize, and communicate results via standard data templates and reports. Experience in a cGMP laboratory and testing inhaled product (e.g. MDI and DPI) samples is preferred. Must possess good organizational skills, a commitment to quality work, and good oral and written communication skills, and work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Will participate in the development and validation of inhalation test methods through execution of defined experiments under oversight. Test methods to be executed include dose content uniformity, cascade impaction by Next Generation Impactor, Karl Fischer moisture content, spray pattern, plume geometry, etc. Will provide support of inhaled product development programs from reverse engineering through registration stabilities by performing active and excipient assays as well as executing performance test methods on a variety of formulations. Verbal communication of results and observations to the development team as well as written communication via study reports will be necessary.

Qualifications - Skills & Requirements

Must be able to perform laboratories duties that require standing for up to 90% of the work day, lifting containers containing 4L or more of liquids and fine motor skills for conducting laboratory experiments (including weighing and pipetting). PREFERRED cGMP laboratory experience Experience with execution or support of inhaled product testing

Education & Experience

BA/BS in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field with 0+ years of experience (pharmaceuticals or related).

Physical Requirements

LAB TECHNICIANS - Must be able to bend at the waist and knees as well as twist at the trunk.

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to wear laboratory protective gowning and equipment, including but not limited to gowning, goggles, face shields, respirators, and protective gloves. PPE and Respirators are essential for the health and safety of employees.
